Belk Hours: Opening, Closing, Sunday and Holiday Hours
Quick Answer: Most Belk stores are open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Saturday and from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sunday. A minority of stores vary, with some closing at 6:00 PM on Sunday or staying open until 9:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. Belk stores are closed on Thanksgiving, according to company-attributed reporting.
Belk hours are easiest to understand once you know the standard pattern and the exceptions. Most department stores follow the same weekly schedule, but flagship locations, mall stores, sale days, and outlet locations can differ. This guide explains the typical hours, the verified variations, and how to confirm the exact schedule for your local store.
If you are searching for Belk hours today, Belk hours Sunday, or Belk store hours near me, the answer usually depends on the day of the week and the individual store. A store that closes at 8:00 PM on a weekday may stay open later on Friday or Saturday, while another store may close earlier on Sunday. The official store page for each location is the best source for that store’s full week.
Belk Hours at a Glance
The following summary table brings together the verified standard schedule and the main variations. It is designed as a quick reference, not as a guarantee for every Belk location.
| Hours Detail | Typical or Verified Time |
|---|---|
| Standard pattern | Monday–Saturday: 10:00 AM–8:00 PM |
| Sunday | 11:00 AM–7:00 PM |
| Latest close | 9:00 PM on Friday and Saturday at selected flagship and mall stores |
| Sunday close variant | 6:00 PM at selected stores |
| Earliest weekday close among variants | 7:00 PM at a minority of stores on some weekdays |
| Thanksgiving | Closed, according to company-attributed reporting |
| Black Friday | 6:00 AM–10:00 PM for department stores, according to company-attributed reporting |
| Black Friday outlets | 8:00 AM–9:00 PM, according to company-attributed reporting |
The standard week is confirmed in full on official Belk store pages for many locations. At the same time, the exceptions are not minor footnotes. A store that closes at 9:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, or at 6:00 PM on Sunday, can change an evening or weekend visit. That is why this guide names the verified variant stores rather than treating every Belk as identical.
Holiday hours require extra care. Belk does not publish a standing schedule for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day. Instead, holiday hours are posted per store as “Special hours” on each store’s official page. The sections below explain what is known, what is expected, and what must be checked locally.
Belk Hours Today: Opening and Closing Times
Belk hours today depend on the day you visit. On Monday through Saturday, most Belk department stores open at 10:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM. On Sunday, most stores open at 11:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM.
| Day | Standard Opening Time | Standard Closing Time |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 10:00 AM | 8:00 PM |
| Tuesday | 10:00 AM | 8:00 PM |
| Wednesday | 10:00 AM | 8:00 PM |
| Thursday | 10:00 AM | 8:00 PM |
| Friday | 10:00 AM | 8:00 PM |
| Saturday | 10:00 AM | 8:00 PM |
| Sunday | 11:00 AM | 7:00 PM |
This is the standard pattern verified on official Belk store pages across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, and Texas. Stores confirmed in full include Pineville, Monroe, and Concord in North Carolina; Jacksonville’s Atlantic and Avenues stores in Florida; Knoxville’s Turkey Creek store in Tennessee; Mt. Juliet and Columbia in Tennessee; Birmingham’s Summit and Riverchase stores in Alabama; Trussville and Huntsville’s Parkway store in Alabama; Charleston, North Charleston, and Columbia’s Columbiana store in South Carolina; and Mansfield in Texas.
Belk open today therefore usually means a 10:00 AM opening on a weekday or Saturday and an 11:00 AM opening on Sunday. The main exceptions are closing times, especially on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A store may also extend a single sale day to a 9:00 PM close while keeping the standard base week.
What time does Belk close?
Most Belk stores close at 8:00 PM Monday through Saturday and at 7:00 PM on Sunday. The question becomes more specific on Friday and Saturday, when selected stores stay open until 9:00 PM. On Sunday, the question is whether the store follows the standard 7:00 PM close or the verified 6:00 PM variant.
Belk hours Saturday are therefore not automatically the same as Belk hours on a weekday, even though the standard schedule is identical. At Charlotte’s SouthPark store, Raleigh’s Triangle store, and Knoxville’s West Town store, Friday and Saturday close at 9:00 PM. Greenville’s Haywood Mall store closes at 9:00 PM on Saturday.
Belk Hours Sunday
Belk hours Sunday follow a clear pattern in the sampled stores: the opening time is consistent, while the closing time varies. No sampled store opens earlier or later than 11:00 AM on Sunday. Every sampled Sunday variation is a closing-time variation.
The standard Sunday schedule is 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. It is confirmed in full on the official pages of Pineville, Monroe, and Concord in North Carolina; Jacksonville’s Atlantic and Avenues stores in Florida; Knoxville’s Turkey Creek store in Tennessee; Mt.
| Sunday Schedule | Verified Stores |
|---|---|
| 11:00 AM–7:00 PM | Pineville NC, Monroe NC, Concord NC, Jacksonville FL (Atlantic and Avenues), Knoxville TN (Turkey Creek), Mt. Juliet TN, Columbia TN, Birmingham AL (Summit and Riverchase), Trussville AL, Huntsville AL (Parkway), Charleston SC, North Charleston SC, Columbia SC (Columbiana), Mansfield TX |
| 11:00 AM–6:00 PM | Charlotte NC Northlake, Orange Park FL, Knoxville TN West Town |
What time does Belk close on Sunday?
Most sampled Belk stores close at 7:00 PM on Sunday. Three sampled stores close at 6:00 PM: Charlotte’s Northlake store, Orange Park in Florida, and Knoxville’s West Town store. Those are the only verified 6:00 PM Sunday closes in the sample.
A late Friday or Saturday close does not pull Sunday earlier. Charlotte’s SouthPark store, Raleigh’s Triangle store, and Greenville’s Haywood Mall store all keep the full 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Sunday schedule, even though they have later Friday or Saturday closing times. This distinction matters for weekend planning, because a store’s Saturday hours should not be used to predict its Sunday close.
Stores That Do Not Follow the 10-to-8 Pattern
Not every Belk follows the standard 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM pattern. The verified variations fall into four families: later Friday and Saturday closes, earlier Sunday closes, single-day sale extensions, and earlier weekday closes at a minority of stores.
| Variation | Verified Stores and Schedule |
|---|---|
| Friday and Saturday close at 9:00 PM | Charlotte NC SouthPark; Raleigh NC Triangle; Knoxville TN West Town |
| Saturday close at 9:00 PM | Greenville SC #16 at Haywood Mall, 700 Haywood Rd |
| Sunday close at 6:00 PM | Charlotte NC Northlake; Orange Park FL; Knoxville TN West Town |
| Single sale days extended to 9:00 PM | McDonough GA; Marietta GA; Williamsburg VA |
Charlotte’s SouthPark flagship is a useful example. It runs Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, closes at 9:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, and keeps the standard Sunday schedule of 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Greenville’s Haywood Mall store follows a similar pattern, with a Saturday close at 9:00 PM and a standard Sunday schedule.
A minority of stores close at 7:00 PM on some weekdays, according to a wider 49-store sample. That finding is included here as a variant pattern, not as a store-by-store claim. It reinforces the main point: the standard schedule is common, but it is not universal.
Do Belk Hours Match the Mall’s Hours?
No, Belk hours do not automatically match the mall’s hours. Each Belk store publishes its own week on belk.com, and mall anchors can differ from the mall itself in both directions. A Belk inside a mall may open later, close earlier, or stay open later than the surrounding mall.
That is why the store page, not the mall directory, is the authority. If you are comparing Belk with another department store in the same mall, the same rule applies. For example, TJ Maxx hours should also be checked at the individual store level rather than assumed from mall hours.
Never assume that a Belk matches its mall, and never assume that it ignores its mall. The only reliable check is the Belk store’s own published week, including any special-hours line for a holiday or sale period.
Thanksgiving and Black Friday Hours
Belk holiday hours near me searches often focus on Thanksgiving and Black Friday, and these two days have different answers. Thanksgiving is a closure, while Black Friday is an early opening with extended hours. Both answers require careful framing.
Thanksgiving
Belk told USA TODAY that its stores will be closed on Thanksgiving. This is a company-attributed closure, and it is also visible as a “Closed” Thursday in seasonal special-hours listings on Belk’s own store pages.
Thanksgiving is therefore different from an ordinary Thursday. Even though most Belk stores normally operate from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, the Thanksgiving schedule should be checked on the individual store page. The store’s special-hours line is the final confirmation for that location.
Black Friday
Belk black Friday hours are company-attributed and season-specific. Belk told a national roundup that its department stores would open at 6:00 AM and close at 10:00 PM on Black Friday, while its outlet stores would operate from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Belk announces Black Friday hours each season, and these figures should not be treated as a fixed annual rule. An earlier season’s figure differed, with a 7:00 AM opening reported. For the current season, check your store’s page for the schedule that applies to that location.
Black Friday is also a day when the department-store and outlet formats must not be confused. The department-store hours and outlet hours are different, and each outlet publishes its own schedule.
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Hours
Belk Christmas hours, including Belk Christmas Eve hours, do not have a published standing schedule. Belk does not publish a fixed timetable for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or New Year’s that applies to every store.
The honest position is that holiday hours are posted per store as “Special hours” on each store’s official page. Stores are expected to run reduced hours around Christmas Eve and stay closed on Christmas Day based on past seasonal notices. Those expectations are not specific times, and they should not be treated as a confirmed schedule for any individual store.
For New Year’s, the same rule applies. There is no standing published schedule to quote, and the store page is the only authority for that location’s special hours. If you are planning a holiday visit, check the store page close to the date rather than relying on a general holiday-hours list.
Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day Hours
Belk publishes no standing schedule for Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day. No specific time should be assumed for any of these holidays, even if a store normally follows the standard 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM pattern.
Belk hours Labor Day searches, like other summer-holiday searches, are best answered by pointing to the store page. Holiday hours are posted per store as “Special hours” on the official Belk store page, and that posting may differ from the regular weekly schedule.
The same approach applies to Easter, Memorial Day, and July 4th. Rather than guessing a holiday opening or closing time, open the individual store page and read its special-hours line for the relevant date. That is the only way to confirm whether the store follows its normal hours, runs reduced hours, or has another schedule for that holiday.
Belk Outlet Store Hours
Belk Outlet stores are a separate format. They have their own official pages and their own schedules, and they do not automatically follow the department-store pattern. A department-store schedule should never be assumed for an outlet.
The verified Franklin, Virginia, outlet at 1354 Armory Dr runs Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. That Sunday close is earlier than the standard department-store Sunday close of 7:00 PM.
Some outlet pages publish no weekly schedule at all. Stillwater, Oklahoma, is one such example. For those locations, the outlet page or the store itself is the only source.
Black Friday outlet hours are also separate. According to company-attributed reporting, Belk outlet stores would operate from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Black Friday. As with department stores, this is a season-specific figure, not a permanent rule.
Curbside and In-Store Pickup Hours
Belk offers in-store pickup and curbside pickup. Pickup runs during that store’s own opening hours, and there are no separate published pickup hours. If the store is open, pickup is available during its operating hours; if the store is closed, pickup is not available separately.
Each store’s page names its Pickup Area. For example, Greenville, South Carolina, lists the Gift Wrap counter, while Jacksonville’s Avenues store lists Ladies Sportswear. These details are useful because the pickup location can differ from store to store.
For a pickup visit, check the store’s full week and any special-hours line. A holiday or sale-day schedule change affects pickup in the same way it affects regular shopping hours, because pickup does not have its own timetable.
How to Find the Hours for Your Belk
The official Belk store directory is the most reliable way to find Belk hours of operation for a specific location. The directory leads to a detail page for each store, and that page prints the store’s Store Hours, its address, and its Pickup Area.
- Open the official store directory. Use Belk’s store locator to search by city, state, or ZIP code.
- Select the correct store. Check the address carefully, especially in cities with more than one Belk location.
- Read the full weekly schedule. Review Monday through Sunday, including any Friday, Saturday, or Sunday variation.
- Check the special-hours line. Look for holiday or sale-week changes that differ from the regular week.
- Note the Pickup Area. If you are collecting an order, confirm where pickup is handled at that store.
This method is especially important for Belk hours near me searches. A nearby store may follow the standard schedule, while another store in the same area may close at 6:00 PM on Sunday or stay open until 9:00 PM on Saturday. The store page removes that uncertainty.

Other Department Store Hours
If you are comparing Belk with other department stores, it can help to check their individual hours as well. Different retailers may follow different opening and closing patterns, and their mall locations can also vary.
For comparison, you can also review Burlington hours. As with Belk, confirm the exact location before planning a visit, especially on Sundays, holidays, and sale days.
